Delbert talks about seeing Bob Wills in a Lubbock dance hall, Buddy Holly, his first guitar, winning a local talent show as a kid, opening for Jerry Lee Lewis in 1957 at the Dallas Sportatorium, seeing Gorgeous George wrestle, the neon jackass marquee at Jack’s Place in Mansfield, Texas, working with Joe Turner, Jimmy Reed, Howlin’ Wolf, Lightnin’ Hopkins, O. C. Smith, playing juke joints in the 1960s, touring with 6 people and equipment in a station wagon, mud suckers, playing clubs with dirt floors with no electricity, befriending local gangsters in Fort Worth, bank robbing pills, juke joint horror stories, Freddy king sitting in with the band at Mother Blues in Dallas, etc.
